There it is…
The S58 is always talked about as such a powerhouse, but after my break-in service I was honestly a little underwhelmed. I wasn’t ready to FEMTO a new car, so after a bunch of reading, I went with the JB4 over other piggybacks. The car was smooth and had more pep, but I was still hoping for a little more. I started seeing that people with the best power and times had map 6 tunes. So i looked further into it, but didn’t have the knowledge to mess with it myself. I was looking for a place, but it seems like a lot of these map 6 tunes are done by individuals. I was hoping to find something a little more professional and eventually found NXTGEN. I am glad I did, as the service and the results are top notch. It’s a different car now and exactly what I was hoping for on E30.

Wow
I was running both map 3 and map 5 with E30 before having NXTGEN Automotive make me a map 6. I found map 3 was the most powerful and I had my best times. Map 5 was better for daily driving on the street, as it was smoother and more torquey. The car is smooth, powerful and it takes the best of map 3 and 5 and combines them, then ups it a notch. They strongly recommended a transmission tune, which I did and the car is insane now.

Great Experience
I had a great experience working with the NXTGEN team. After purchasing the map 6, they promptly reached out and asked about my vehicle. They then sent a detailed and professional PDF explaining the process and what needed to be done. I heeded the advice about adjusting the spark gap and having a transmission tune before the JB4 tune. Then I adjusted the JB4 and did some logging as instructed. After I sent in the logs a few times for some adjustments, it is a different car. This was some of the best money I spent on my vehicle yet, it is wicked fun now.
